Planning, Procurement, Production and Logistics Systems Leader – Ford Otosan

Engin Aktaş is a professional with a total of 22 years of experience and currently serves as the Production and Supply Systems Leader at Ford Otosan. He completed his education in computer engineering and business administration and received a master's degree in data analytics. Since June 2022, he has been the leader of the organization that manages the digitalization of production and supply processes end-to-end; It creates digitalization strategies in this field and implements them. Previously, as the Process and Software Development Department Manager between 2013 and 2022, he ensured the continuous development of digital products and systems, and designed new processes and solutions to achieve the vision of industry 4.0. Additionally, he worked as Software Development Team Leader between 2008-2013 and as Software Architect between 2002-2008. During this time, he touched all processes of the company and made significant contributions to the digitalization of the company with the solutions he developed in many areas. Engin Aktaş made significant contributions to the inclusion of the Ford Otosan Gölcük factory in the Global Lighthouse Network by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2019 with his effort.  Additionally, he managed the transformation of IT systems during the acquisition of Ford Otosan's Romanian Factory, established Ford Otosan's production IOT system, and launched the company's first university software development office at Sakarya University in 2008. Additionally, he plays active roles in non-governmental organizations such as OTEP Digital Transformation Working Group Vice President and YASED Technology and Innovation Working Group representative.
